About

I have been working with dogs since I was 16yrs old where I joined the British Army and worked as a dog trainer, and trained dogs for the police. Since leaving the army I have worked at dog kennels, vets and Woodgreen animal shelter in Godmanchester.

I have completed two courses with Shaun Ellis, the wolf man, where I worked closely with the wolves and wolf-dog hybrids and learned a great deal about canine communications, pack relations, human- canine relationships, food and diet and common problems. I have also completed a two day course with Alpha on "career as a dog trainer"

I have achieved the level of professional skills and management with Cambridge institute of dog behaviour and training and have completed a diploma in Canine aggression with Compass Education and training. I have completed an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management and training and received the grade distinction. I have a Diploma in Canine aggression and I am a member of the T.C.B.T.S (The Canine Behaviour & Training Society) and a full member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern dog Trainers). I have also completed seminars with Dr Ian Dunbar, Anne McBride, Nick Thompson, Chirag Patel, Brenda Aloff and Grisha Stewart. I have also completed courses with the IMDT (The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers).

I am a professional member of Dr Ian Dunbar's training academy and have completed a variety of his courses.

I also had the privilege to be chosen to join Nando Brown and Jo-Rosie Haffenden at Battersea dogs home training the unadoptables.

I am also the behaviourist on the sub committee for the Born Innocent charity where I assess seized dogs to determine if they are of "sound temperament" or not, and should they be be returned home. I also attend court if needed for the dogs I assess

Throughout my years of study I realised that whilst there are many dog training books out there for adults there is mothing for children. It also became apparent that there is a lack of education for children on dog safety. It has become my life and passion to change this. I wrote my book, 'What's my dog saying' as the first stepping stone in child-dog safety. I also give presentations to children in order to educate

Through both my education and experience, I deliver a positive approach to dog training. Building close relationships with both dog and owner as we work together to achieve a happier owner and calmer dog.
